Watch your speed!! Seriously...
I send this information to all my guests in the arrival email but I thought I should post it here as well as it can help anyone who is vacationing in Indian Rocks beach.
The Pinellas County sheriff has been on a crusade to catch each vehicle going over the speed limit as it crosses the IntraCoastal bridge. Easily 10-15 cars daily. The speed limit drops to 30 mph as you come off the bridge on the western side and they are stationed in the first street with lasers and chase cars. Sometimes also in the median.
So my recommedation is to drop your speed early on the bridge and stay there until parked at the cottages.
I am not advocating speeding but the speed drop signage does not really stand out and unknowing tourists who are excited to start their vacations may overlook them and I cant see starting out your vacation with a speeding citation as a positive event.
